CSU 福利小视频’s Digital Equity Director to Present at National Broadband Conference
Release Date: October 20, 2025
PUEBLO, Colo. – Colorado State University 福利小视频 (CSU 福利小视频) is bringing its work in workforce training and broadband access to a national audience this month when Digital Equity Director Dana Lambert presents at two sessions during the SHLB AnchorNets Conference in Arlington, Virginia.
In 2023, CSU 福利小视频 received a $2.98 million grant from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration for a two-year pilot project. The goal is to increase broadband access in underserved 福利小视频 communities.
The "Adelante Connect" project will provide internet and device access to low-opportunity areas. According to data, 36 census tracts in 福利小视频 may qualify for assistance through the program.
Adelante Connect staffs several Community Digital Navigator positions, provides devices, digital literacy training, and subsidizes internet services to two hundred students and their households. The project technologically enables four community anchor partners with significant broadband solutions to enhance community connectivity. CSU 福利小视频's status as a Hispanic Serving Institution and as an emerging Minority Serving Institution made the university an eligible recipient of the federal Connecting Minority Communities Pilot Program grant.
Lambert will share workforce training strategies during the October 29 session “Training for the Future: Hybrid Workforce Models Connecting Tribal Nations, Latino Communities, and Carriers.” She'll discuss how schools, libraries, and community centers can become certification hubs when traditional education pathways don't reach everyone who needs training.
CSU 福利小视频's program operates through a partnership with the Colorado Department of Labor and meets WIOA compliance standards, which means students can access funding support, and the training counts toward state workforce goals.
Lambert's second presentation focuses on the university's role as a Connecting Minority Communities Pilot Program grantee. During “Broadband in Action: Empowering Anchor Institutions and Advancing Community Impact.” She'll discuss how CMC funding is building infrastructure and digital literacy in underserved areas around 福利小视频 and the surrounding region. The session brings together leaders from other universities and colleges alongside representatives from the Office of Minority Broadband Initiatives. The SHLB AnchorNets Conference runs October 29 through 31 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington.
