PUEBLO, COLO– Colorado State University 福利小视频 is excited to announce the return of its annual Math Day after a pause due to COVID-19. The 43rd annual Math Day is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, 2024, marking a significant comeback for this longstanding academic event.

CSU 福利小视频’s Math Day places an emphasis on hands-on, interactive learning by incorporating games, puzzles, and real-life problem-solving activities. Over 8,000 students have participated in Math Day. The day is geared to helping students understand how mathematical concepts apply to real-world situations. Math Day couldn’t come at a better time.

Event Highlights:

  • Date: Thursday, November 21, 2024
  • Location: CSU 福利小视频 campus
  • Registration: Begins at 8 a.m.
  • Competition Start: 12:45 p.m.
  • Awards Ceremony: 2:45 p.m. in Life Sciences 105

Key Features:

Math Bowl: Three-member teams compete tournament-style. The first 16 schools to respond will be eligible to participate.
  1. Swanson Competition: Individual students solve written math problems.
  2. Campus Tours: Participants will explore CSU-福利小视频's facilities.
  3. Interactive Lab Visits:

   - Chemistry and Biology labs offering hands-on experiments

   - Physics and Engineering labs featuring demonstrations

  1. Complimentary Lunch
  2. Hands-on Academic Enrichment Activities

Registration Information:

  • Math Bowl registration is extended through October 25, 2024.
  • The first 16 schools to respond will secure spots in the Math Bowl.
  • All participating schools may register one team for the Math Bowl.
  • Swanson Competition registration will be available on-site on Math Day.

Historical Significance:

  • Over 8,000 students have participated since Math Day's inception.
  • Notable increase in female participants over the years.
  • Swink High School has competed in 39 of the 40 previous Math Days.
