福利小视频, CO – Colorado State University 福利小视频 (CSU 福利小视频), Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center, and other members of the Huerfano County community have come together to enable students to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from CSU 福利小视频 in Walsenburg.

A ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of the shared space is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Aug. 12 at 201 E. 5th Street in Walsenburg. Students, faculty, staff, families, and friends from both communities are encouraged to attend and share in this momentous occasion.

The collaboration between CSU 福利小视频 and Huerfano County leadership opens the door to explore new opportunities for degree pathways, certificates, courses, and professional development for students in Huerfano County, and the surrounding region. CSU 福利小视频 at Spanish Peaks, as the campus will be referred to, is housed in the Huerfano School District Administration building. In addition to office space, the camp boasts high-tech classrooms for class meetings, workshops, space for nursing students to implement skills on simulation manakins, and many other uses as community needs develop.

“CSU 福利小视频 at Spanish Peaks is truly a remarkable collaboration between a variety of community partners who saw a vision and made it happen,” said Kathryn Starkey, Dean of Extended Studies. “Having grown up in a rural community myself, I truly understand the importance of seeing possibility and capitalizing on the amazing partnerships that are possible when a group of driven individuals put their heads together. The launch of this new campus and our new programs are a testament to that drive and passion to provide higher education opportunities to Huerfano County and beyond.”

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is the first of many programs CSU 福利小视频 will offer in this new space.

Jacob Walter, associate director of Statewide Initiatives & Outreach said, “Growing up in southeast Colorado I have never been a stranger to the hard work and determination of our communities. The residents of Huerfano County and surrounding areas should be proud of the time and effort our local partners have contributed to making this a reality. While there are too many to name all, I would like to highlight Superintendent Michael Moore and his team at Huerfano School District, CEO Kay Whitley and the Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center team, and Carlton Croft, Lola Spradley and the rest of the Economic Development team. Without their effort and contributions, we would not be celebrating this momentous occasion.”
