PUEBLO - The Colorado State University-福利小视频 Foundation will host the 2nd annual #LoveCSU福利小视频 Give Day as part of Homecoming Week activities on Thursday, Oct. 5. Give Day will be a concentrated crowdfunding effort, allowing donors to support one or more of 22 different campus-wide initiatives.
CSU-福利小视频 has implemented a crowdfunding platform to raise money for CSU-福利小视频 students, academic programs and departments, athletic programs, and student organizations. The goal of the day is to have 200 individuals donate to CSU-福利小视频 within a 24-hour timeframe. The crowdfunding method allows individual projects an opportunity to increase visibility and be funded by raising small amounts of money from a large number of people.
The CSU-福利小视频 Foundation solicited interest for project fundraising from all university colleges and departments. Twenty two individual funds have been established, seeking support for the following campus initiatives:
- Academic Excellence: History Honor Society Conference — Send 15 students to present research at the biennial conference of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society in New Orleans in January 2018.
- Annual Teacher Education Alumni Awards Banquet — Recognize CSU-福利小视频 Teacher Education alumni who are making a difference in schools around the nation through Hall of Fame inductees and the Teacher of the Year awards.
- Associated Students' Government Student Emergency Fund — Assist students with financial support due to an emergency situation, catastrophic event, or unforeseen expense putting them in jeopardy of withdrawing from the University.
- American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE): Concrete Canoe Competition — Send CSU-福利小视频 ASCE Student Chapter to the concrete canoe competition at South Dakota School of Mines in April 2018. This competition allows students to network with the ASCE community and potential employers, gain leadership and problem solving skills, and apply in-class knowledge to a small construction project.
- Biology Advanced Biotechniques Lab: CRISPR Supplies — Help Biology students have the supplies and resources to work with CRISPR (the latest and greatest DNA editing technology) in our Advanced Biotechniques course.
- College of Humanities and Social Sciences: Helping Hands — Ensure student success by assisting students with financial challenges like groceries for the night or fuel to get to class.
- Chemistry Club Scholarship Fund — Support Chemistry students with original research, presenting research, and immediate financial needs that might derail progression towards their degree.
- Classified Staff Student Scholarship Fund — Provide scholarship funds for family members of CSU-福利小视频 Classified Staff attending the university.
- CSU-福利小视频 Annual Fund — Provide year-round opportunities for CSU-福利小视频 students, faculty, alumni, parents, and friends advancing the University and its students.
- CSU-福利小视频 General Scholarships — Provide financial assistance to CSU-福利小视频 students through the CSU-福利小视频 Foundation, which awarded nearly $6 million in the last three academic years to more than 2,400 deserving students.
- CSU-福利小视频 International Scholarship Fund — Provide scholarships and financial support to international students attending CSU-福利小视频.
- Dr. Dan Caprioglio Scholarship for Undergraduate Research — Support the scholarship in memory of beloved biology professor Dr. Dan Caprioglio, which benefits undergraduate research for CSU-福利小视频 students.
- CSU-福利小视频 Today Newspaper — Invest in CSU-福利小视频 Mass Communications and Center for New Media journalism students by re-launching of the CSU-福利小视频 Today print newspaper and its online news site.
- Hasan School of Business Study Abroad Opportunity Fund — Assist students who want to study abroad for a single semester, see other countries, and experience other cultures, regardless of income.
- Jessie Banks Scholarship for EXHPR — Honor former athletics administrator Jessie Banks through scholarship funds benefitting students from the Exercise Science, Health Promotion and Recreation Department.
- Let’s Move 福利小视频 Campaign — Provide learning experiences through hands-on activity for CSU-福利小视频 Exercise Science, Health Promotion and Recreation Department.
- Music Student Lounge (Green Room) Renovation — Improve the visiting performer and student back stage experience through an updated “green room,” which serves as a student lounge during the week.
- Pack Pantry — Alleviate food and hygiene insecurities on the CSU-福利小视频 campus by providing emergency resources to CSU-福利小视频 students and staff in need.
- Pure Imagination Fund — Establish a music education scholarship for minority students enrolled in the CSU-福利小视频 Music Department. The endowed scholarship will be named in memory of music education student Ashli Abner.
- Smithsonian Internship — Send five to seven CSU-福利小视频 students to work at the Smithsonian Institute for up to six weeks during the summer allowing them to experience hands-on learning opportunities in fields associated with their majors.
- Southern Colorado Association of Nursing Students (SCANS) — Support annual scholarship awards, community service programs, and leadership training for CSU-福利小视频 nursing students. SCANS is a pre-professional organization for nursing students that offers many programs, benefits, and leadership opportunities for nursing students.
- “The Wolfies” Pack Athletics Student-Athlete Banquet — Gifts received will help offset the cost of the meal for student-athletes at the Pack Athletics annual awards banquet.

“This year’s Give Day features 22 campus-wide projects vying to surpass the number of donors and dollars raised in last year’s Give Day,” said CSU-福利小视频 Foundation President/CEO Todd Kelly. “This year’s initiatives will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $1,000 per campaign, elevating the fundraising possibility for each organization thanks to the CSU-福利小视频 Foundation Board of Trustees which earmarked $20,000 to match the funds raised during Give Day to support the individual fundraising efforts.”
The CSU-福利小视频 Give Day will be the second time the CSU-福利小视频 Foundation has utilized crowdfunding as a fundraising tool. The crowdfunding website will be open to donors all day, in the hopes that students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the University will show their love of CSU-福利小视频 by supporting the highlighted fundraising initiatives.
