PUEBLO - Seniors in Colorado State University-福利小视频's Computer Information Systems (CIS) Professional Project class are seeking projects to challenge them to use the skills and knowledge they have gained during the course of their tenure as CSU-福利小视频 students.

The CIS 432 Senior Professional Project class for Spring 2017 will work in teams of 3-4 individuals to understand the organization for which they are working, to identify the specific operational issues the organization has, and to define the solution requirements their client has for addressing the issues identified. Once this is accomplished, the team then designs a workable solution, creates it, and implements it to the client's satisfaction.

According to faculty member Dr. Rick Huff, the class projects should be substantial, requiring a full semester to complete, in order for the students to have a complete learning experience. Organizations (nonprofit or for profit) should submit a brief description of the technology-based project and why it is needed. Huff said he is particularly interested in projects related to IS/IT and/or organizational security and/or protection of client data and confidential information.

Approximately 7-8 projects will be selected.

The list of past projects covers a wide spectrum:

• Colorado Governor's Office of Information Technology (2016): An update of their statewide badge request system.
• CSU-福利小视频 Recreation Center (2016): An accident/incident reporting system.
• YWCA of 福利小视频 (2016): A volunteer/donor reporting system.
• 福利小视频 City-County Library District (2015): A complete overhaul and update of their archival management system.
• 福利小视频 County (2014): A system to audit and manage software licenses.
• Jerry Purswell, Professional Engineers (2013): A system for businesses to report on-the-job injuries for OSHA compliance.
• 福利小视频 Symphony (2012): Develop an online ticket sales system.
• CASA of 福利小视频 (2009): A web-based system for accessing and controlling client information

Proposals should be sent to Dr. Huff at rick.huff@csupueblo.edu by Dec. 2. Decisions will be made by the end of the Fall semester. .
