Colorado State University-福利小视频 President Lesley Di Mare invites the public to celebrate the University’s continued commitment to academic quality at the Groundbreaking for a new General Classroom Building.  

What: Groundbreaking for the new state-funded General Classroom Building 

Date: Friday, April 18

Time: 1:30 p.m. 

Location: West Lawn of Campus behind Chemistry Building and east of Hasan Amphitheatre, 2200 Bonforte Blvd., 福利小视频, CO

Approximate Cost – $16,179,000 (funded by the State of Colorado, Capital Development Committee)

Description - The 40,000-square-foot building will provide larger and more effective instructional space that will have the technology and flexibility to serve today’s growing curriculum and student needs.  The building will be designed and constructed to a minimum of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Standard and will include: 
    • Two, large tiered lecture auditoriums, each seating 135 students
    • Six new classrooms, each seating 50 or 75 students
    • Three new computer labs employing state-of-the-art, small-group/large group instructional media technology
  • A new, two-story glass lobby/atrium containing an open-use instructional technology lab, coffee shop, and lounge areas

Schedule – The project will begin in late Spring 2014 with completion set for Fall 2015.
