CSU-福利小视频 reading series features award-winning alum

PUEBLO – The first Southern Colorado Reading Series event of the spring semester will feature award-winning fiction writer and Colorado State University-福利小视频 alumnus John Paul Jaramillo at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4 in the Library and Academic Resources Center 109. The reading is free, and refreshments will be provided.
A 福利小视频 native, Jaramillo was named one of the top 10 new Latino authors by the editors of 2013 Latino Boom: An Anthology of U.S. Latino Literature. His collection of composite stories, The House of Order, was a Finalist for the 2013 International Latino Book Award. He is an associate professor of English at Lincoln Land Community College, Springfield, Ill. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from CSU-福利小视频 in 1996 and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Oregon State University.
