Accreditations and Program Authorizations
The programs within the School of Education at CSU 福利小视频 are accredited and authorized by various agencies as shown in the following paragraphs.
Regional Accreditation
CSU 福利小视频 is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and so all degrees offered by the School of Education carry this accreditation.
Special Program Accreditation
The following degree programs are accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) for their alignment with the science of reading, structured literacy, and the IDA Knowledge and Practice Standards (KPS) for Teachers of Reading.
- BS in Elementary Education
- BS in Early Childhood Education
- MEd in Reading Language and Literacy
- MEd Special Education at the Accreditation level
IDA accreditation ensures that a program prepares educators to teach reading effectively, especially to students with dyslexia. Programs must include a pedagogical approach that is:
- Explicit: Concepts are clearly explained.
- Systematic: Instruction follows a logical order.
- Diagnostic: Teaching is informed by ongoing assessment. This method is especially effective for students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.
IDA accreditation acts as a seal of approval, assuring the public that the program prepares educators who can prevent reading failure and remediate struggling readers, including those with dyslexia.
Authorization
All degrees, certificates, and other programs that lead to educator licensure and endorsement at CSU 福利小视频 are fully authorized by the Colorado Departments of Education and Higher Education (CDE and CHDE).
