CSU 福利小视频 is firmly committed to protecting the rights of expectant parents and complying with Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act as amended by the Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978 and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. CSU 福利小视频’s policy is to treat students, faculty, and staff affected by a pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions in the same manner as other individuals unable to work or participate in their education because of their physical condition. CSU 福利小视频 will not deny employment or educational opportunities based on the need to make a pregnancy-related reasonable accommodation or retaliate against individuals who request or use a pregnancy-related accommodation.
How Does Title IX Protect Me?
Title IX protects pregnant and parenting students from discrimination.
This includes pregnancy, childbirth, false pregnancy, termination of pregnancy, miscarriage, or recovery from any of these conditions.
It is illegal to exclude a pregnant student from any part of an educational program due to their pregnancy and parenting status.
Adjustments and Accommodations
Any special services provided to students with temporary medical conditions must also be provided to a pregnant student in need of those same services.
Reasonable adjustments may include, but are not limited to:
- Larger desk
- Frequent bathroom breaks
- Flexibility with attendance and deadlines
- Makeup/online work
- Incomplete in course
- Course withdrawal
- Different parking options
