Overview
Prepare for a leadership position in education with the Principal Licensure program. This program is unique as it offers small class sizes, a strong professor to student mentorship and the flexibility of 8 week, asynchronous courses, which allow students to complete approved and comprehensive curriculum as well as a 6 credit internship at a K-12 school.
When all coursework and internship hours are complete, students are prepared to sit for the PRAXIS state exam and apply for licensure, given they meet all state requirements. Colorado residents are encouraged to apply, but out of state students may also be part of the program as long as there is knowledge about what state requirements are outside of Colorado.

Program Details
The Principal Licensure requires a total of 27 credits as a post baccalaureate certificate. This program can also be completed in tandem with the Master of Education online program for an exta 11 credits.

Applications for the Principal Licensure are accepted year-round. The admission requirements are the following:
Prospective Freshman: As a prospective freshman, you are evaluated on the content and rigor of your high school
coursework, grades or high school rank, and standardized test scores. You must successfully graduate from high
school and have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. You must complete and submit the undergraduate appli-
cation and send official transcripts to the Office of Admissions.
Transfer Students: Transfer applicants are degree-seeking students who, at the time of application, have completed
a minimum of 24 credits of college-level coursework. Remedial courses and concurrent enrollment courses (courses
taken while in high school) do not count toward the total credit count.
Admission Standards: CSU 福利小视频 is a moderately selective institution, and we are committed to providing access
to a 4-year college degree to any student is who academically prepared. We look at several factors to determine your
preparation, including your cumulative college GPA and the courses you have taken at your previous institutions. In
general, students with at least a 2.3 cumulative transfer GPA who have successfully completed all basic skill course-
work will be admitted to CSU 福利小视频. Students who have not yet completed their basic skills courses or who have a
GPA below a 2.3 are still encouraged to apply, and may be admitted on a probationary status.
Applications for the MEd are accepted year-round. The admission requirements are the following:
- Baccalaureate Degree: Students must have a baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a regional accreditation agency (or equivalent).
- Transcripts: All transcripts from higher education institutions attended must be sent to CSU-福利小视频.
- Grade Point Average: Students must have a minimum 3.000 GPA. Conditional admission may be granted for candidates with lower cumulative GPAs upon recommendation by the Associate Dean or with a recent graduate GPA (at least 15 hours) is above 3.000.
- Letter of Interest: Students must outline the reason(s) for applying to the M.Ed. program and how they expect to both benefit from and contribute to it.
- Recommendation Forms: Two recommendation forms must be provided from individuals who can speak to potential success in graduate school.
- Teaching License: Conditional admission can be granted for candidates without a teaching license, but with significant teaching experience. Candidates must provide documentation of the quantity and quality of this experience.
A maximum of nine semester hours of resident graduate credit from other regionally accredited graduate institutions may be applied to a graduate degree program. Transfer credit from non-United States institutions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Transfer credits must be directly applicable to the degree program and must be approved by the program director/coordinator and sent to the Degree Analyst. Graduate credits accepted in transfer must be from a course in which a grade of B- or better was earned. Credits accepted in transfer do not apply to the GPA at CSU 福利小视频. Credits already used for minimum degree requirements at another institution cannot be used toward fulfilling a CSU 福利小视频 degree. Individual programs may set additional criteria for acceptance of transfer credit.
