Supporting Our Graduating Students
Commencement is an important milestone in our CSU 福利小视频 students' academic and life journeys. To celebrate this important step, faculty and staff play an important role in the setup, facilitation, and clean up of the commencement ceremony.
The Commencement Staffing Committee is working hard to create job duties and tasks that align with the availability of faculty and staff. Staff Participation
Staff Availability: Staff duties will be assigned based on availability. Please submit your availability on the form. Staff in Facilities will be assigned by Jonni Valdez-Silva based on trades associated with tasks. Any Facilities staff not assigned by Jonni Valdez-Silva will be asked to complete this form.
Staff Requirement: Only full-time staff are required to participate in Commencement activities outside normal working hours. Part-time or temp staff will be expected to adjust their hours the week following Commencement to account for campus being closed one day.
General Timeline for Staff Assignments:
- Availability form due Saturday, March 1, 2025
- Assigned shifts dates and times communicated by the first week in April
- Trainings occur in April from shift leads
- Commencement shifts: Expected to work Saturday, May 17th. If unable, times on Friday, May 16th are available.

- Note: Staff can sign up to assist with graduate school ceremonies or the nursing ceremony, but it will not fulfill the obligation of working on Saturday, May 17th. Staff will still need to put in Annual leave if they do not work the actual ceremony on Saturday since the campus is closed the following Monday.

Faculty Participation
All University employees participating in Commencement will receive a commemorative shirt – you will be asked for sizing information on the link provided and we ask that you RSVP by Saturday, March 1st for size preference.
