Scholarships
The Department of Art & Creative Media is proud to be able to offer students scholarships each year. In addition to the department's own scholarships, the university and other individuals and organizations offer a wide variety of scholarships ranging from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars.
We encourage you to apply to all scholarships for which you are eligible. If you look around at the options listed below, you are likely to find numerous scholarships that could help you achieve your educational goals.
Department of Art & Creative Media Scholarships

Anthony Capps Capozzolo Scholarship in the Visual Arts
Thanks to a generation donation from Anthony "Capps" Capozzolo, the department of Art & Creative Media is able to provide numerous students within the department with scholarships. Scholarships are typically $900 per student per semester, and are available to incoming first-year students, transfer students, and continuing students. If you have received an Anthony "Capps" Capozzolo scholarship in a previous year, you are eligible to apply again in subsequent years.
Eligibility
The Anthony Capps Capozzolo Scholarship in the Visual Arts requires that the recipient major in studio art, creative media, art history, or art education, and maintain the required cumulative GPA for Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts candidates. Scholarship recipients must also continue to produce meritorious work appropriate to their degree and/or emphasis area to receive and retain this scholarship.
How to Apply
The due date to apply is March 1 of each year. Apply in the Scholarship section of PAWS. If you are an incoming student and do not yet have access to PAWS, contact Sandy Lundahl (sandy.lundahl@csupueblo.edu) for assistance.
The application portal will prompt you to submit a personal essay with a minimum length of 300 words with the following prompt: "Detail your personal/professional aspirations, school/community activities and awards, work experience and any family/personal circumstances; and explain how these aspects have shaped who you are today."The application portal will prompt you to upload a portfolio of artworks that you have created. This is strongly recommended for students pursuing the BFA in Studio Art, the BFA in Creative Media, and the BA in Art & Creative Media. Art History and Art Education students are welcome but not required to submit sample artworks.

Ed Sajbel Scholarship
Eligibility
The Ed Sajbel Scholarship requires that the recipient be a full time student majoring in art education. The recipient must be a Colorado resident and must have and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
One $500 scholarship is awarded each year.How to Apply

Homer Bisel Scholarship
Eligibility
The Homer Bisel Scholarship requires the recipient to be a graduate from a 福利小视频 High school, maintain a 2.5 GPA, have an outstanding record on a debate team or be enrolled as a full-time student majoring in Studio Art, Creative Media, Art History or Art Education.
One $2,000 scholarship is awarded each year.

Eligibility
The 福利小视频 Bank & Trust Art Scholarship requires that the recipient be enrolled as a full-time junior or senior Studio Art, Creative Media, Art History or Art Education major. The student must be from 福利小视频 County and demonstrate financial need. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
One $700 scholarship is awarded each year.

Summer Scholarships
Since many scholarships do not pay for summer courses, the Department of Art & Creative Media makes scholarships available to help students take summer art courses.
Eligibility
The Summer Scholarships require that students are majors within our department (Studio Art BFA, Creative Media BFA, Art History BA, Art Education BA, or Art & Creative Media BA) and are enrolled in at least one summer term ART course.
Eight $900 scholarships are awarded each year to students enrolled in one summer ART course.
Four $1,800 scholarships are awarded each year to students enrolled in two summer ART courses.How to Apply

- Your First and Last name
- Your NetID
- Your major
- The summer term ART course(s) you have registered for.

Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Student Scholarships
Eligibility
The Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Student Scholarships require that students are majors within our department (Studio Art BFA, Creative Media BFA, Art History BA, Art Education BA, or Art & Creative Media BA), have not yet taken courses at CSU 福利小视频, and are enrolled in at least six credits of ART or ARH courses for the subsequent Fall semester.
Four $1,800 scholarships are awarded each year, distributed as $900 in the Fall semester and $900 in the Spring semester.
How to Apply

Include:
- Your First and Last name
- The most recent high school or college that you attended and, if applicable, the degree attained there.
